Traci L. Hughes-Trotter brings to DEI Solutions the belief that people of any age, ethnicity, education level deserve equal access and a seat at the table. She has made public service her life-long commitment, working as a leader in government and non profit sectors, specializing in transparency law, organizational creation and management, and crisis communications.

 

Traci is a proud graduate of Howard University, and Temple University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.

Shannan Herbert

Advisory Board Chair

Shannan Herbert is the Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for City First Bank in Washington DC. With more than 20+ years of experience, she has served in key leadership roles for most of her career, leveraging her expertise to direct enterprises in the strategic development and delivery of value-driven, user-friendly solutions in the commercial credit and financial services arena. Prior to joining City First, Shannan was the Senior Vice President and Director of Loan Review for United Bank, where she was responsible for the oversight of a $20B loan portfolio.

 

Shannan graduated cum laude with a BBA in Finance from Howard University and holds an MBA with a finance concentration from Loyola University Maryland.

Alison T. McNeil is a nationally recognized award-winning strategic thinker and creative entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience in performing arts and education. She leads with the intention of creating resources, removing roadblocks and designing roadmaps to make arts and culture accessible to all. With technical expertise in nonprofit management, grantmaking, assessment and program evaluation, Alison has led multi-million-dollar change efforts that have directly informed policy, grantmaking, and strategic partnerships. She has served as a thought leader on numerous grant panels, boards, conference panels, and advisory committees including the National Endowment for the Arts, Americans for the Arts, the Heinz Endowments, Association of Performing Arts Professionals, Step Afrika!, FRESHH Inc. Theatre Company, DC Commission on
the Arts and Humanities, Arts Council of Fairfax County, Alexandria Commission for the Arts and Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy. If you really want to get Alison to smile, ask her about her nephew or her favorite Stevie Wonder song.

Bob Whittig has over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.  He has served as an executive director, served on nonprofit boards, co-authored a book on nonprofit governance, and helped launch two nonprofits, Mundo Verde Public Charter School and the Skyland Workforce Center. Ukraine.

He is the founder of envision it which is committed to make leadership coaching and organizational consulting accessible to small community-based organizations. He is board president at Joseph’s House in Washington, DC.

Bob completed the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certification Program and has a BBA-Business and MBA-Marketing from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Bob enjoys traveling (46 countries and counting!), storytelling, swimming, and learning how to play the djembe.  He lives in DC with his teenage daughter and Bruce the Wonder Dog.

Denise Rosemond has over 20 years of experience in directing, managing, facilitating, and training corporate
organizations in diversity and inclusion as a corporate trainer, director of diversity, and subject matter expert advice
on diversity and inclusion for profit and non-profit entities. Her career history has been within the private sector and
the federal government in senior management and director-level leadership positions.

She has facilitated training on workforce inclusion, diversity, and employment law in a Fortune 500
company. She has developed policies and strategic goals to target and ensure equal opportunity, reasonable
accommodation, language access, and diversity, specifically targeting niche minority groups, including Women and
Youth Empowerment, African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic-American, Native-American, LGBTQ, and those
with Disabilities.

Glenda Lee is a voice for modern solutions to dynamic issues. With a heart of service, Glenda devotes her work to the hospitality industry, having served in corporate, academic, and advocacy roles. She currently serves on the Blacks in Travel and Tourism Task Force, National Small Business Association Leadership Council, Beacon House (DC) Board of Directors, and DC's Black Chamber of Commerce while managing her hospitality consultancy, TBT Hospitality. Glenda believes that change should be a welcomed aspect of growth for organizations and individuals, alike. As such, she is a highly sought-after speaker of such topics: "Even in Sales, Your Voice Matters," "Self-Efficacy, More Than an Academic Buzzword," "Actually, I CAN:  Motivating Beyond Trauma." 

Her passion:  unrelenting. So is her love of travel, family and all things bacon.
